E-marketing

E-marketing has rapidly become the most popular method of retaining and acquiring new clients. Most of the website development we do now is for new businesses or for those wanting a revised site. Very little of the website design work The Outsourced Marketing Department now does is for established firms looking for their first website.

Websites 
Websites are no longer ‘nice to have’, they are an essential foundation stone of a business’s marketing activity. You can take a look at some of the many sites we’ve developed, some are very simple and others more grand and complex – much depends on budget and the needs of the client.

SEO
For businesses of all sizes, search engine optimisation (SEO) is critical. Why have a website if no one can find it? When we talk to you about your website we’ll ask you how important SEO is for you. You may be happy with a standard level of optimisation or you may need extensive, ongoing work . 

Email campaigns
As with most innovations, email campaigns quickly became the ‘only’ way to market – the pendulum swung too far in favour of this shiny new tool in the marketing manager’s armoury. Thankfully businesses are now being more measured about which method they use to communicate with clients. Spam restrictions are one reason, the lack of guilt involved in deleting an email is another (i.e. for some they have had limited success) and a realisation that email is just one tool amongst many. That said, email campaigns used sensibly can be extremely beneficial (although one of the most successful campaigns we’ve run recently used traditional letters sent in the post!).

Social networking
Most people are familiar with social networking in their private lives but now more and more firms are using the same tools to attract new business. It may or may not be right for your firm but we will be able to explain how it works and the potential benefits.

Online surveys
Gathering client feedback has never been so easy and so cost-effective. The advent of the online survey means that you can quickly obtain information about your service and products and download the collated results. If online surveys aren’t already part of your marketing toolkit, they should be.
